When someone lands on your CincoTube channel, the Video Spotlight—also known as your channel trailer or featured video—is your golden opportunity to make a powerful first impression. This short, attention-grabbing clip automatically plays for visitors who haven’t subscribed yet, while another can be shown to returning subscribers to keep them engaged. In this guide, we’ll walk you through what the Video Spotlight is, how to set it up, and why it’s a strategic must‑have for building your audience and optimizing viewer experience.
What Is the Video Spotlight Feature?
The Video Spotlight allows you to highlight specific videos on your channel homepage:
-
Channel trailer for non‑subscribers: A video that auto‑plays or appears as soon as visitors who aren’t subscribed land on your channel.
-
Featured video for subscribers: A different video that’s shown to returning or subscribed viewers to keep them engaged.
Why It Matters
-
Instant engagement: Engages new visitors immediately and boosts watch time.
-
Tailored experience: Allows different content for subscribers vs. new viewers.
-
Better conversions: Great for promoting key content like intros, updates, or CTAs on your landing.
