Auto Transcribe & Subtitles in Cincopa allows users to generate, manage, and control video transcripts across their account. These tools help improve accessibility, support SEO indexing, enable VideoGPT functionality, and make video content easier to search and understand.
Cincopa provides multiple transcription workflows depending on how you want to manage your videos. You can automatically generate transcripts for all future uploads, manually generate transcripts for specific videos, or manage and maintain transcripts from a centralized dashboard.
This document provides an overview of these transcription options and explains when each workflow should be used.
When to Use Auto Transcribe & Subtitles
Auto Transcribe & Subtitles should be used when you want to make video content searchable, accessible, and easier to understand. Transcripts help viewers follow video content without audio and allow video content to be indexed for search and AI-based features.
These features are commonly used when:
- You want videos to support captions and subtitles
- You need transcripts to help meet accessibility standards such as ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) and Section 508 compliance, which require video content to be accessible to users with hearing impairments or those who rely on captions and transcripts.
- You want video content to be searchable using spoken keywords
- You want to enable VideoGPT responses based on video content
- You want to improve SEO visibility for video pages
Global Transcription Settings
Global transcription settings allow transcripts and subtitles to be generated automatically for videos uploaded after the feature is enabled. This helps maintain a consistent workflow and reduces manual effort when managing large video libraries.
This option is useful when you want to:
- Automatically generate transcripts for all new videos
- Apply consistent publishing preferences across your account
- Control how transcripts are used for player captions, SEO, or VideoGPT
- Enable speaker detection for videos with multiple speakers

Transcription for Individual Videos
Individual video transcription allows you to generate transcripts only for selected videos. This is helpful when global transcription is disabled or when you want to create transcripts for videos that were uploaded before global settings were enabled.
This option is useful when you want to:
- Generate transcripts for specific videos only
- Control transcription settings separately for each video
- Apply captions, SEO, or VideoGPT support to selected media files
- Customize language detection or speaker identification per video

Transcript Management Guide
Once transcripts are generated, they can be reviewed, edited, and republished using the centralized Auto Transcribe & CC section in Account Settings. This allows you to manage transcripts for multiple videos from one location instead of opening each video separately.
This option is useful when you want to:
- Review transcripts across your video library
- Correct transcription errors
- Approve or republish transcripts
- Download or upload transcript files for offline editing

How These Features Work Together

- Global Settings automatically generate transcripts for future uploads.
- Individual Video Transcription allows manual control for selected videos.
- Transcript Management allows reviewing and maintaining transcripts across your entire video library.
These features can be used together depending on how transcripts need to be generated and managed.
