Link a gallery to a Master Gallery

Link a gallery to a Master Gallery when you want to manage a shared configuration from a central gallery reference.

Select the master

  • Open Galleries in the Cincopa account that contains the galleries.
  • Find the gallery you want to link.
  • Open its More Actions menu, shown as three dots.
  • Choose Link to Master Gallery and select the intended master from the available list.
  • Open the linked gallery and check its resulting configuration and preview.

Choose a master with a clear name so editors can distinguish shared configuration from a one-off gallery. See gallery customization for layout and player settings.

Check inherited settings and media separately

A master relationship and an asset's membership in a gallery are different concerns. Confirm the settings inherited by your selected template and whether individual overrides are available. Do not assume that linking automatically copies every asset, changes every item order, or synchronizes every setting.

Use Manage & Upload Files to check the linked gallery's media list. If the task is to present a particular asset in a reusable layout, the layout-template workflow may be the relevant option.

Test a shared update

Before relying on the relationship across production pages, make a small reversible presentation change to the master and inspect a test linked gallery. Check the preview and a real embed, including local overrides and the chosen media. Restore the test change when finished.

Keep a record of which galleries depend on the master before changing a shared design. Updating a master can affect more than the page currently being edited.
